Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome Back
I hope you enjoyed a restful break with your children. We are extremely excited to welcome your children back to school today!
Staff have been busy preparing the return of students over the past week. I am sure your child is looking forward to return to the College. As we start the school year, I would like to take this moment to share some updates and upcoming events.
College's Theme
This year, we will focus on equipping our students with deeper insights on the work of the Lord through his Word. We encourage students to read and understand God’s story and how it is related to us. They should ask questions and seek clarification to the Christian faith from their teachers and Chaplains whenever in doubt.
May I encourage you to go through the Bible verse of the week, available in the school diary, with your child and pray with them on a regular basis.

With the term information provided, I hope that family vacations can be planned for during term breaks to minimise disruption to your child’s learning.
Your child should be able to access the 2025 timetable via ‘Seqta Learn’ by now. If you need any support or guidance on how to use ‘Seqta Engage’, please drop an email to itsupport@lighthouse.vic.edu.au and my team will respond to you as soon as possible.
Working Bees
I would like to thank the parents who came in to support us during the last term break. It was a great community building event, and I am looking forward to having more parents stepping in to support the College this year. Through these events, the College is hoping parents can get to know more staff members from the College and other parents who are involved in the program. Uniform
It is advisable for you to purchase the required uniform from Belgravia Apparel if your child requires a new set. You are also reminded to purchase a school cap or hat for your child at the uniform shop as it is a requirement for students and staff to wear head covers during Term 1 & 4.
As part of our sustainability effort, we have started a second-hand uniform shop in the College. You may contact Mrs. Pang (vincy.pang@lighthouse.vic.edu.au) for more information.
Parents Information Night
This event will be held on 05 February 2025 (Wednesday). You are encouraged to attend this event so that you can meet College’s leaders and your child’s teachers.
Through this event, you will get the opportunity to get to know your child’s HR Teacher. As there are some changes to the logistical arrangements compared with previous years, more information will be provided at a later stage.
Year Level Parents WhatsApp Group
We have created various WhatsApp Groups for parents to communicate with other parents from the same year level. A QR code invitation to join the group will be sent to parents via Direct Message.
Through this platform, you can seek clarification from other parents if you are unclear of certain operational practices of the College.
Parents Use of Bathroom While in School
As part of our Child Safe practice, all parents are reminded to report to the Admin Office before gaining access into school property. You are reminded that students’ toilets are out-of-bound to all visitors.
If there is a need for you to make use of the facilities, there are bathrooms available for visitors in the Admin Building.
